I’ve been a member at Work Nicer in Calgary since 2022, and it’s hard to overstate how much they’ve helped my business grow. The networking opportunities alone are worth the membership. I’ve met collaborators, clients, and friends just by showing up, grabbing a coffee, and plugging in. There’s always someone interesting to talk to, and the community has a “we’re all building something” vibe that keeps you motivated.
Amenities are over the top in the best way: open coffee bar, kombucha and Annex Root Beer on tap, strong Wi-Fi, tons of meeting spaces, phone booths, and all the little details that make long days actually enjoyable instead of draining. The decor and overall vibe are on another level. It feels modern and energetic without being pretentious, and every location I’ve used has been consistently clean, comfortable, and well thought out for people who actually work there, not just visit for an hour.
What really sets Work Nicer apart, though, is the team. Alex, Sean, Becky, Everett, and George have all gone out of their way to support me and my business, whether that’s making introductions, helping with events, or just checking in. Their dedication to the members is obvious, and it shows in the culture they’ve built.
If you’re a freelancer, small business owner, or growing company in Calgary and you’re on the fence about coworking, I’d strongly recommend giving Work Nicer a shot. Joining was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my business.
